Animator Adam Philips is developing his own variation of the Solresol language for use in his ‘Brackenwood’ animation series. Called B525, the main differences are according to Adam:

Quote:
“First is that basically I've completely rewritten the dictionary.

Secondly, the 500 words that are in my dictionary are based on the most-used words of the english language. This means that even though the dictionary is very small, you can communicate very effectively.

Thirdly, almost any word in my version means the complete opposite when you pronounce it backwards. This was a nice little feature of the original, but due to the way the words were classified, it was very inconsistent. In my version it is one of the things I've tried very hard to keep consistent.”

for more information about the project and some tutorials to learning the language.

So, with this trunicated 'dictionary', communication can be easier ... but will it convey the emotional range of words? Little-used words, axed for sake of efficiency, are still valuable.

Thank Gods this project is for a cartoon. If it was a serious proposal for society, it'd be nothing less than cultural vandalism.

There is a race of future humans in the Orion's Arm scenario who speak Solresol; the Equivocalists;
http://www.orionsarm.com/eg/e/Ep-Er.html#Equivocalists

they are able to say two different things at the same time, giving two sides of an argument; they are also able to discuss quantum mechanics and the dual particle/wave nature of light more easily than an ordinary person...

or not.
